Donald Trump and the Secrecy of the Dark Side
Despite all the handwringing in the mainstream press about the “national-security” implications of the documents and records that former President Trump is charged with retaining in his house, there is a huge probability that most, if not all, of the documents and records consist of dark-side secrets of the national-security establishment — secrets that they are determined to guard under the rubric of protecting “national security.”
Given that the national-security state is a dark-side entity, it’s naturally going to be filled with dark-side secrets, such as secret state-sponsored assassinations, coups, bribery, torture, and provoking wars between other nation-states. To protect these dark-side secrets, national-security officials always pull out what have become the two most important words in the American political lexicon — “national security.”
Despite the fact that it has no objective meaning whatsoever, the term “national security” is supposed to scare everyone to death. As soon as we hear those two words, we are all expected to quiver and quake and vilify anyone who dares to disclose the national-security establishment’s secret documents and records. In fact, the “national-security” appellation is nothing more than a sham designed to protect the secrets of the dark side.
Consider Edward Snowden. The records that Snowden released were secret records belonging to the national-security establishment, which had claimed that their disclosure would threaten “national security.”
So, what happened when Snowden disclosed them? Did the United States fall into the ocean? Nope. Did the United States fall to the Reds? Nope. Did the terrorists or Muslims take over America? Nope.
So, then where was the much-vaunted “threat to national security”? It was nowhere. The “national-security” secrecy was all a sham — a fraud — designed to protect the dark-side secrets of the national-security establishment.
What was the dark-side secrecy that Snowden revealed? He revealed that the national-security establishment was conducting illegal secret surveillance of the American people. For disclosing that dark-side secret, they have vilified him and condemned him as a Russia-loving traitor. Moreover, they thirst to prosecute him under the old 1917 “Espionage Act.” That’s because anyone who discloses the dark-side secrets of the national-security state is automatically considered to be a spy for the official enemies of the national-security state.
Of course, it didn’t help Snowden’s cause that his revelations exposed the perjury that former Director of National Intelligence Gen. James R. Clapper, Jr., committed in his sworn testimony before Congress, when Clapper knowingly, intentionally, and deliberately denied under oath that the NSA had been secretly collecting data on the American people. Of course, at the time that Clapper committed his perjury, the last thing he ever expected was that someone from the inside of the dark side would reveal his falsehood. Not surprisingly though, they ended up giving Clapper a pass on his perjury and went after Snowden for revealing it.
Consider Julian Assange. Through his Wikileaks organization, he exposed dark-side war crimes of the national-security state. For that, they have gone after him with a vengeance, trying their best to lock him away for the rest of his life. It’s worth mentioning that he too is being targeted under the same old 1917 “Espionage Act” under which they are targeting Snowden and, for that matter, Trump. Like Snowden, Assange is considered to be a foreign spy for revealing dark-side war crimes of the national-security establishment.
But notice something important about what Assange revealed. Prior to his revelations, the documents and records had been considered a national-security state secrets. U.S. officials had steadfastly maintained that disclosure of such secrets would threaten “national security.”
So, what happened after Assange disclosed such dark-side secrets? Once again, the United States didn’t fall into the ocean, and it wasn’t taken over by the commies, the Russians, the Chinese, the terrorists, the Muslims, or even the illegal immigrants.
Thus, in retrospect, it is clear that the entire “threat to national security” claim was just another sham, one designed to do nothing more than protect the dark-side secrets of the national-security state.
Consider the national-security establishment’s 60-year-long secrecy of documents and records relating to its assassination of President John F. Kennedy. For six decades, they have been swearing that the disclosure of their assassination-related records would threaten “national security.”
Yet, as some of the long-secret documents and records have trickled out over the past 60 years, what happened? Once again, the United States didn’t fall into the ocean and no official enemies, rivals, opponents, and competitors have invaded and conquered the United States. Absolutely nothing has happened except to reveal more dark-side secrets that the national-security establishment has been determined to protect by falsely claiming “national security.”
As I have long maintained, the best thing America could ever do is dismantle the entire Cold War-era national-security state governmental apparatus and restore our founding governmental system of a limited-government republic. Wouldn’t it be nice to once again have a government that no longer is hiding dark-side secrets under the rubric of protecting “national security”? Wouldn’t it be nice to no longer have a government that prosecutes good, honest, and honorable people under an old 1917 "Espionage Act” for revealing the dark-side secrets of the national-security state? Wouldn’t it be nice to have a government that no longer operates on the dark side?
