Immigration Debate Challenge

I, Jacob Hornberger, a declared candidate for the 2024 Libertarian Party presidential nomination, hereby publicly challenge my opponents for the nomination to debate the following resolution:

Resolved, that the United States abolish the Border Patrol and the Immigration Service and all restrictions on trade and instead adopt a position of totally open borders, thereby enabling the free, unrestricted movements of goods, services, and people into the United States.

The four declared candidates for the L.P. presidential nomination are as follows:

Jacob Hornberger
Mike ter Maat
Chase Oliver
Lars Mapstead

I propose the following format for the debate:

Opening argument (5 minutes): Candidate 1
Opening argument (5 minutes): Candidate 2
Opening argument (5 minutes): Candidate 3
Opening argument (5 minutes): Candidate 4

Rebuttal (5 minutes): Candidate 1
Rebuttal (5 minutes): Candidate 2
Rebuttal (5 minutes): Candidate 3
Rebuttal (5 minutes): Candidate 4

Q&A from audience: 20 minutes.

Total time for debate: 1 hour.

Speaking order: by drawing straws. 

Venue: Online or in person at a mutually agreeable location.
